وتتناول هذه الدراسة دور الأهل غير المباشر ÙÙŠ مكوث أولادهم ساعات٠طويلةً أمام هذه الأجهزة، وتبØØ« ÙÙŠ ما إذا كان أيّ تغيير ÙÙŠ طريقة التربية يساهم ÙÙŠ Ø®Ùض عدد الساعات الذي يمضيه الأولاد أمام الشاشة، مّا قد ÙŠØول دون نموّهم العقليّ، أو الجسديّ، أو الاجتماعيّ. ويقول معدّا الدراسة: ابتكرنا عبارة "التأديب الإلكترونيّ" لوص٠الممارسات المنهجيّة التي تستخدم الأجهزة الالكترونيّة كأداة تأديب. أي بين مكاÙأة بعض الاهل للأولاد، ومعاقبة البعض الآخر بعدم Ø§Ù„Ø³Ù…Ø§Ø Ù„Ù‡Ù… باستخدام هذه الأجهزة.
